Genre in Medieval Celtic Literature

During my time in the School of Celtic Studies, I had the pleasure of launching the first of what became a series of thematic conferences. The Colloquium on Genre in Medieval Celtic Literature was held on 27–28 September 2013, at 10 Burlington Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. The aim of this colloquium was to open up the field to discussion of the concept of genre in medieval literature and in particular in the Celtic vernaculars. The potential of the discussion of genre and generic analysis for the Celtic literatures had not yet been adequately explored.
